Missing Flowers

The ground sets icy cold,
no love lies here.

No life parts solid earth
in green profusion,
only shattered dreams
in oaken shell.

Stood against an empty sky,
her silhouette of grief,
stark against the
tranquil blue.

His voice now silent
speaks of love at peace
and taunts her
with its truth.

Alone,
all joy is gone,
along with hope. . .

and the missing flowers.

Storm

Blackened fury rolls and climbs,
Satan's cauldron boils
where sunlight played,
and Hellfire slashes sky's dark throat
as Angels flee and Heaven quakes.

Thor proclaims his Majesty
with mighty thunder voice
and trembling world lies cowed,
birdsong silenced, mankind hushed,
as Freyja floods the world.

But this must shortly pass
and crystal sun shall triumph over all,
her quiet glow kiss raindrops
'til colours mixed on Heaven's palette
arch in celebration

Light has conquered dark,

birds sing,

all is well.

Everest

Javelin sharp and Heaven bound,
peak pierces blue sky
seeping now to wounded red
as bloodied sun sets slowly
into Hades' depth.

Peace descends
to heal the wound of dusk
and anguished colour drains to gold
as cotton mist wraps
all in quiet calm.

Rising cool and icy slow,
a virgin moon, crescent formed
and silver touched, heals
and sooths as sleeping
Jomolungma dreams
of dawn and waking life.

By her feet,
her sleeping children wait
to triumph at her lofty breast,
humble hearts and
tribute rich.

She waits,

A Silky Breeze

A silky breeze flows in ribbons,
redressing the landscape
as nature's tableau comes to life.

Fields of corn wave a golden greeting
to exhuberant meadow larks,
poppies bob and weave,
dancing with cornflowers
to summer's tune.

Beyond the fields,
rabbits play in dunes,
marram and couch grasses
calling them to be
brave in the sunshine;
to venture abroad.

The ocean celebrates,
ruffled by the silk,
it leaps white hatted
onto welcoming sand,
liquid lace hems the shore
and gulls cry their appreciation.

The Heavens blue the sea
and boast the sun,
angel breath fluffs ivory clouds
until they slip silently
beyond mystery's horizon. . .

the silky breeze flows in ribbons.

Tumbling

Loving you is. . .

Tumbling with a waterfall
through rainbow mist and
crystal orb,
to foaming pillow
mermaid deep,
silent rich and
Heaven blue.

Soaring with an eagle's wings,
mountain high
on fragile air,
in isolation's
perfect still,
contentment rich
in golden sky.

riding on a falling star
at speed of light
in lunar glow,
catching wishes
flown on hope
by lover's witnessing
a dream.

Scarred

Down the mountainside
stones slip as tears
on a cheek;
wounding tranquility,
scarring the trust
of the past.

Time will heal
but the mountain
never quite
the same;
no path ever so certain,
no view so unspoiled.
